League Bowling

Are you looking for some serious competition…or just some serious fun? Either way, there's a league that's perfect for you.

Sanctioned or non-sanctioned. What’s the difference?

A Sanctioned league is recognized by the USBC (United States Bowling Congress), formerly ABC (American Bowling Congress) as a league. The USBC is the sanctioning body in the US. It means that they are the ones that set the rules and make sure they are followed.

Teams of four bowlers usually compete for fun and for cash prizes. A bowling league is a great way to compete with a group of friends from work or friends in your community.

A non-sanctioned league also meets once a week but is usually less competitive. Adults, teen-agers, youth and people of all ages sign up for non-sactioned leagues. They bowl a few games and usually have something in common that unites them – like their love for racing, cartoon characters or the latest hot movie. And regardless of how your team finishes, non-sactioned leagues often offer bowlers the hottest premiums such as theme bowling balls, apparel and other extras.
